We approach to health & productivity management encompasses a business perspective underpinned by the notion that its efforts for encouraging employees to maintain and improve their health give rise to greater employee prosperity and furthermore serve as an investment undertaken to achieve greater corporate profitability in the future. Premised on this approach, we engage in health & productivity management practices embodying our corporate philosophy that states that "we are dedicated to perpetual prosperity and greater happiness by constantly creating affluence for customers, employees and society."

Declaration of Health & Productivity Management

The health of our employees is essential to ensuring that we are able to engage the corporate philosophy that "we are dedicated to perpetual prosperity and greater happiness by constantly creating affluence for customers, employees and society." Accordingly, unless our employees maintain good health it will not be possible for us to earn the trust of our customers.

We regards, as one of its key business resources, the physical and mental health of its employees who underpin its corporate growth, along with families of such employees. As such, we will actively support employees in their health maintenance and improvement initiatives and systematically encourage their efforts to embrace healthy lifestyles. In so doing, we aim to serve as a company whose employees can live pleasant and healthy social lives of vibrancy and abundance, while helping give rise to economic progress.

Health Management Policy

  1. Article 1 (Purpose)

    In accordance with its Health Declaration, we shall establish a policy on health management for the purposes of creating healthy and comfortable work environments and maintaining and promoting the physical and mental health of its employees and their families.

  2. Article 2 (Structure)
    1. To ensure proper implementation and promotion of health management, we shall establish a Health Management Promotion Team supervised by the Group's vice president.
    2. The Health Management Promotion Team shall formulate annual or medium-term health management implementation plans and facilitate these implementation plans through cooperation with the Health Committee.
    3. The Health Management Promotion Team shall report regularly to the Management Committee regarding the status of health management initiatives.
  3. Article 3 (Details of Initiatives)

    We shall provide general health support that enables each and every employee to work independently in maintaining and improving his or her physical and mental health. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, the Group shall adopt a preventive medicine approach while systematically and comprehensively implementing the following health management framework.

    1. Zero-order prevention: Promoting initiatives that contribute to the improvement of workplace environments primarily through the stimulation of workplace communication
    2. Primary prevention: Promoting efforts that contribute to disease prevention mainly through the administration of vaccinations and health awareness programs that raise employee health consciousness through training and other means
    3. Secondary prevention: Promoting initiatives that facilitate early detection and treatment of diseases primarily through extensive health checkups and additional post-checkup health guidance
    4. Tertiary prevention: Promoting measures that help prevent the recurrence, or mitigate the severity, of illnesses through the establishment of applicable regulations and systems (systems supporting both leaves of absence and returns to work, etc.)
